    Same as VNC!?!?!?!? …
    Same as VNC!?!?!?!?!?
I think NOT. This has the ability to stream Movies via ICA. Let’s say you have a Linux Box on your TV, but want to watch Netflix. You can install ICA on your Linux Box, you can stream the Windows 7 Desktop via XenDesktop to your Linux Box. Can’t do that with VNC. 3D Images won’t even show up.

    I second that! …
I second that! Citrix is all about centralized managment, optimized performance (ICA protocol) and application delivery. VNC may function but will not be as easy to manage from an IT perspective nor will it perform to a level that users will be happy with.

    This is for …
This is for conecting to virtual systems. It’s not to connect to a single pc. It makes use of the ICA protocol, and the desktop you see is a published desktop OR a VDI running on xendesktop (xenserver). This is a huge step in the right direction of mobiity. This is something totally diferent than VNC!

To clarify , the Citrix Receiver for iPhone has been available since 5/09. It is targeted at enabling businesses to provide employees safe access from thier iPhone to applications and virtual desktops hosted at the company or a Cloud.
VNC does provide limited access to single PC’s. On the other hand Citrix provides safe access to 100’s of users per server all under IT control etc.
You can get more info at Citrix.com/iPhone or a free demo at CitrixCloud.net
